Swiss Re has announced the appointment of Annkathrin Stephan to the newly created role of Head Solutions Western & Southern Europe.
The reinsurer formed this role in response to a growing demand for Solutions in the region, a Swiss Re spokesperson told Reinsurance News.
In her newly promoted capacity, Stephan will be tasked with taking Solution development closer to the market, as well as taking on responsibility for shaping Swiss Re’s Solutions proposition and generating opportunities to work with current and new partners across the wider insurance industry.
Stephan joined Swiss Re in 2017, first holding the role of Senior Client Manager P&C and later moving on to become a Senior Product Manager iptiQ EMEA P&C.
She began her career with German insurer Allianz, working as a sales consultant in its life insurance business, then as a product manager for motor lines.
Prior to joining Swiss Re, Stephan also worked at Versicherungskammer Bayern as a product manager and pricing specialist.
Swiss Re’s Solutions business areas work closely with ceding clients to help them optimise their own businesses and improve profitability.
