Global reinsurance giant Swiss Re has announced the appointment of Arthur Levry as its new Head of West Africa, effective July 1st, 2020.
In his new role, Levry will be tasked with managing the advancement and development of property and casualty (P&C) and Life and Health (L&H) products and solutions across the West Africa region.
Beat Strebel, Managing Director, Head of Middle East & Africa at Swiss Re, explains that Levry will have a focus on bringing innovative, non-traditional and structured solutions to the marketplace.
He will be based in Abidjan, the chief port of Côte d’Ivoire, and takes over from Hadi Riachi and more recently Lukas Müller, who took over as interim head of Swiss Re West Africa.
Prior to Swiss Re, Levry worked as Managing Director and Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Kenya Re for a decade. Previously, he has held numerous positions of responsibility with Colina Assurances in Côte Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Togo and Madagascar.
