Specialty re/insurance group Chaucer has announced the appointment of Noufal Manzil as Class Underwriter within its property team in Dubai.
Chaucer says the addition of Manzil, who joins from Talbot and brings over 20 years’ experience to the role, reaffirms its commitment to establishing a broad marine and non-marine underwriting team to the Middle East and North America & Indian Sub-Continent regions.
At Talbot, Manzil served as a board member and also oversaw the management and development of its Property book.
In his new role he will be responsible for building Chaucer’s property portfolio across the MENA region.
“Noufal brings a wealth of property expertise to Chaucer, and we all look forward to working with him,” said Fawzi Omari, Senior Executive Officer at Chaucer MENA.
“He is a very talented underwriter with an excellent reputation in the market for being innovative and forward thinking. I am sure his unique skill set and experience will be an outstanding addition to our service offering.”

Chaucer MENA’s growth plans are also supported by Rajeev Menon, Regional Treaty Underwriter, who has relocated to Dubai from Chaucer Singapore to lead the growth of their Treaty book.
