The Hartford has added Sean Genden as head of international insurance, effective December 16.
Genden joins from Travelers Insurance having most recently served as international business insurance segment lead.
Other roles at Travelers included Chief Executive Officer of their Lloyd’s managing agency, and CEO of the UK domiciled insurance company.
He will be based in London and report to the Head of Global Specialty Vince Tizzio.
“Sean is a proven international insurance leader who has built a strong reputation in the industry and with our partner, Lloyd’s of London”, said Tizzio.
“His experience driving profitable business growth while balancing appropriate risk-taking will be key as we fully integrate this business, which is part of the recent acquisition of Navigators, with The Hartford and build our long-term international strategy.”
