Reinsurance broker TigerRisk Partners LLC has announced the appointment of Bill Cooper as Managing Director and Head of Advisory Capital.
Cooper joins the company from Lloyds Bank where he was Managing Director of Insurance and Specialist Finance.
In his new role, he will work with TigerRisk clients to help optimise their capital and financing structure.
“Bill is unquestionably one of the foremost experts on capital and financing structures in the insurance markets,” said James Few, CEO of TigerRisk UK.
“He’s been a leading force in the London market and will be an invaluable asset as our clients navigate a wide range of challenges and opportunities.”
Cooper started his career at Lloyds Banking Group, first training in Retail banking and then moving to the Corporate Recovery unit – Commercial Banking.
This was followed by roles as Relationship Director and lastly Managing Director and Global Head of the Insurance Sector coverage.
In total, Cooper has more than 30 years of banking experience as a consultant/advisory, with over 20 of those years spent working with clients in the re/insurance industry.
