Insurance and reinsurance brokerage, TigerRisk Partners, has today announced the appointment of Glyn Ridpath as a Partner within the firm’s expanding Casualty division, reporting to James Few, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), TigerRisk UK.
Ridpath joins TigerRisk from rival broker Aon, where he most recently served as a Managing Director from March 2018 to December 2020.
Prior to this, he served as Managing Director and Head of Specialty Casualty at reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter. Ridpath joined Guy Carpenter from broker JLT Re, where he worked for more than five years and was named Partner.
Previously, he worked as a senior broker at HSBC Insurance Brokers where he began developing casualty experience. His career in the re/insurance industry started in the claims department of Aon in 1999 where he advanced to become a junior broker, before leaving for HSBC almost a decade later.
