Tokio Marine HCC adds Paul Knighton to Marine Liability division

Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC) has announced the appointment of Paul Knighton as a Marine Liability & Logistics Underwriter in its Marine Liability division.

paul-knightonKnighton joins TMHCC from Skuld, where he most recently served as Head of Marine Cargo & Property.

He has 18 years’ experience in the London Market, and has previously held senior roles at TT Club and Lockton.

In his new role, Knighton will focus on developing the Logistics and Freight Forwarders book of business, reporting to Darren Carr, Head of Marine Liability, TMHCC – International Group.

“We are delighted with Paul’s appointment and believe his strong, technical knowledge and experience complements the team well,” said Carr.

Simon Button, Chief Underwriting Officer, London Market division of TMHCC – International Group, also commented: “Paul’s hire is testimony to our growth strategy while also highlighting Tokio Marine HCC’s investment in the Marine Liability space.”

The appointment further expands the Marine Liability team, which began trading in January 2019.

The division’s products include Marine Trades, Marine Property, Protection and Indemnity (P&I) Reinsurance and Marine & Energy Liability.
