Tony Matta takes regional President role at Lockton

Insurance broker Lockton has appointed Tony Matta as President of its Caribbean & Central America Facultative team, which is based in Miami.

Matta most recently served as CEO for Facultative business in the Caribbean and Central America at rival broker Willis Towers Watson, also in Miami.

Prior to this he held a President role at Crandon Re, and he has previously worked for companies including Aon Benfield, PWS International, Stratfor, RISC International and The Hartford.

In total, Matta has more than 25 years’ experience in the re/insurance industry, both as a reinsurance broker, and as an insurance and reinsurance underwriter.

Throughout his career, he has been involved in the underwriting and placement of many property, energy, education, government, hospitality, and private sector commercial accounts throughout the Caribbean, Central America, and South America.
