Cayman islands-based reinsurer Topsail Re has appointed Daniel Turgel as Vice President of Underwriting.
Turgel’s experience spans over 13 years and includes work in reinsurance underwriting and program management. His most recent role was as the Vice President of Insurance Program Operations at RVI, the reinsurer noted.
Turgel has previously held a position as reinsurance underwriting director at Arch Re for six years. In this role, he focused on underwriting property, workers’ compensation, and other types of insurance in both facultative and treaty divisions.
He has also held other roles in InsurTech Denver, MindHome, Smartinsure, ReSource Pro, and Firemans Fund Insurance Company.
“I have joined an amazing team at Topsail Re as VP of Underwriting,” Turgel said.
