Tracey Gibbons has joined Third Point Reinsurance Ltd. from Allied World Assurance Company (AWAC) to lead the firm’s specialty treaty portfolio.
In her new role, Gibbons will report to Third Point Reinsurance Company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dan Malloy. Initially, the portfolio will include workers compensation catastrophe, PA/Life catastrophe, and also other niche lines of business, including contingency and political violence, among others.
She brings more than 32 years of industry experience to the role, and most recently served as senior vice president of Specialty Reinsurance at AWAC. Prior to AWAC, she was senior vice president at Overseas Partners.
Third Point Re President and CEO, Rob Bredahl said: “We began broadening our risk appetite in 2018, particularly with the addition of modest exposure to short tail catastrophe risk.
