Trium Cyber, the renowned cyber insurance specialist affiliated with Lloyd’s of London, has announced the appointment of Joseph Dumas as the Head of Risk and Analytics for its US-based services company.
This significant addition to the team was confirmed by CEO Josh Ladeau, who expressed the company’s commitment to providing top-tier talent for its clients and reinforcing its position as a leading player in the insurance industry.

Throughout his meteoric career, Joe has been at the leading edge of cyber risk analytics.”
In his new role, Dumas will lead Trium Cyber’s Risk and Analytics practice, focusing on pioneering methods that leverage computer science to enhance the understanding and mitigation of cyber risk.
Joseph Dumas brings a wealth of experience from his previous position as the Head of Cyber Data Science & Analytics at Beazley Group.
During his tenure there, he developed an industry-leading portfolio optimisation suite that achieved remarkable results, including a 30% reduction in ransomware claims, a 20% reduction in ransomware severity, a 70% reduction in email compromise claims, and a 40% improvement in the attritional loss ratio for the industry’s largest cyber book.
Prior to his role at Beazley, Dumas worked at Ernst & Young as a senior actuarial consultant, specialising in innovative and sophisticated applications of data science.
His expertise covered areas such as modeling, predictive analytics, underwriting, pricing, reserving, and claims within the insurance sector.
