Jennifer Baron has joined UFG Insurance, a P&C insurer based in the US, as Reinsurance Underwriter, to work with brokers and cedents – both new and existing accounts – across the country.
Baron, who has 19 years of industry experience, adds her expertise to the growing UFG assumed reinsurance team as the company amplifies its commitment to alternative distribution segments.
“UFG is engaging the marketplace with exciting strategies through our expanding alternative distribution business,” adds Vice President and Chief Risk Officer Micah Woolstenhulme, who leads the company’s assumed reinsurance efforts. “Jennifer brings deep expertise to many of our client relationships in the specialty, casualty and MGA space.”
Prior to UFG Baron spent over half a year serving at CRC Insurance Services as an Inside Broker. Before that, she served at Sompo International as an Associate Underwriter Engineered Risk (Builder’s Risk) for almost a year.
In 2025, prior to Sompo, she joined SCOR as a Reinsurance Underwriting Analysts, a role she held for four years before being appointed Lead Reinsurance Underwriting Analysts, a role she held for over a year.
Baron has also held positions at Starr Technical Risks and Crump. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas State University.
