UFG Insurance has appointed Dominique Siméon as senior reinsurance underwriter, also becoming one of eight employees named assistant vice president during the company’s May 2021 board meeting.
In her new role, she will underwrite treaty reinsurance with a focus on mortgage, surety, and credit reinsurance.
Siméon’s began with Odyssey Re in Europe before moving to the US, where she worked for Sompo and Partner Re.
She brings over 25 years of reinsurance underwriting experience in the lines of business for which she is responsible at UFG.
Vice President and Chief Risk Officer Micah Woolstenhulme commented: “With her deep experience in the mortgage and surety reinsurance market, Dominique is an ideal underwriting lead for UFG’s reinsurance efforts.
“We will maintain focus on both underwriting discipline and portfolio management, and her role is a key element in our assumed reinsurance business plan. We’re happy to welcome her aboard.”
