Validus Specialty Underwriting Services has appointed Corina Monaghan to lead its U.S Political Risk and Credit Insurance team, based in New York.
Monaghan joins Validus Specialty from JLT North America, where she most recently served as head of Political Risks, spearheading consulting and brokerage for crisis management.
She brings expertise in political risk, both public and private sector underwriting, and broking, as well as a deep client relationship network across both North and South America, and in Europe.
Validus Specialty provides brokers and clients in the Americas with access to Political Risk and Credit insurance capacity from the Lloyd’s market, offering commercial counterparty, sovereign and country risks across various sectors, geographies and structured trade finance products.
The firm said that Monaghan’s appointment would help it build on the success of its established $255 million binding authority, as well as its own dedicated capacity.
