Recently launched Bermudian reinsurer Vantage Risk has appointed José Miranda as Risk Analytics Lead, where he will continue to be based in Bermuda.
Miranda joins from Hannover Re where he held the role of Senior Catastrophe Analyst for just over a year.
Within that role he oversaw catastrophe models and internal quoting tools for quotation of natural catastrophe, cyber, terrorism, workers compensation and personal accident business, as well as having close collaboration with the underwriting team and management.
Prior to Hannover Re, Miranda worked for Markel for four years as Senior Research Analyst and Senior Catastrophe Analyst.
He has also held roles at Tokio Millennium Re and EQECAT.
In a LinkedIn post, Miranda said: “This past Friday was my last day at Hannover Re. I want to personally thank Dirk Hasselkuss and Dennis Brauchle for the opportunities you have given to me this past year. I wish you nothing but the best in the future.
“I’m excited and happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Risk Analytics Lead at Vantage Risk Companies on Tuesday.”
