MS&AD Insurance Group, a major Japanese non-life insurance group with a substantial international presence, has appointed Vishal Desai to a senior global role as International Chief Risk Officer.
The International business within MS&AD Insurance Group represents more than $20bn of non-life gross written premium outside Japan and remains a significant part of the Group’s wider operations.
In this capacity, Desai will join the International Executive Committee at MS&AD Insurance Group, working alongside experienced colleagues from across the organisation’s global network.
He will collaborate with entity leadership teams to support the continued development of MS&AD Insurance Group as an international insurance and financial services group, with a focus on strengthening risk oversight, compliance and legal governance across the International portfolio.
His responsibilities will cover MS&AD Insurance Group’s International operations spanning more than 20 entities across 48 countries outside Japan, including MS Amlin, supporting consistent standards and long-term value creation for customers, shareholders, employees and communities.
