Global insurance and reinsurance broker, Willis Towers Watson, has named Ken Smith Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) market leader for the firm’s Metro D.C./ Chesapeake market.
Smith joins the firm from Marsh USA, where he was most recently leader of the company’s Cincinnati, Columbus and Louisville business, and where he held a number of other leadership positions.
He brings 28 years of industry experience to the new role, and will have responsibility for overseeing and driving the overall CRB growth strategy, value proposition and also talent acquisition efforts of Willis Towers Watson’s operations in the market.
This includes offices in Baltimore, MD; Washington, D.C.; Richmond, VA; and Norfolk, VA.
Smith will report to head of Corporate Risk and Broking, Atlantic South region, Doug Pera, who said; “Ken is an outstanding leader with a great reputation in the Metro D.C. area.
“We’re confident that with his leadership we will continue to grow our business and attract the best talent in the market.”
