Willis Towers Watson names Patrick Murphy as Global Head of Cargo & Specie

Willis Towers Watson has named Patrick Murphy, who joins from a role as Global Marine Practice Leader at Integro, as Global Head of Cargo and Specie within its Marine Corporate Risk and Broking Division.

Willis logoMurphy will lead client management, technical, placement and risk management specialists, supporting Willis Towers Watson marine clients in risk mitigation, reporting to Ben Abraham, Global Head of Marine.

Alastair Swift, Head of Corporate Risk & Broking, GB, said; “Patrick’s appointment is a key element in our progressive investment in Cargo and Specie. Patrick will be charged with growing, connecting and developing our capabilities as he leads our world-class team of over 200 cargo and specie professionals worldwide.”

Murphy brings 29 years’ experience in delivering creative cargo solutions to a wide range of clients.

In his previous role at Integro, he spent 10 years building a leading Cargo Practice and has held senior cargo roles at Marsh and Johnson & Higgins.

He is a graduate of the State University of New York’s Maritime College, where he gained a BS in Marine Transportation.
