Global re/insurance broker Willis Towers Watson has named Anthony Monaghan as GB Industry Transportation Leader for its Risk & Broking Division in GB.
Monaghan joins from Marsh, where he most recently led their Manufacturing & Automotive Industry.
Prior to MMC’s acquisition of JLT, he was Marsh’s Transportation Leader for the UK and Ireland.
His new role at WTW is described as covering all aspects of transportation while also supporting the efforts of the GB Retail Transportation Practice, led by Mike George.
He will also work closely with WTW’s Global Marine and Aerospace Lines of Business in respect of GB.
Monaghan reports to Michael Johnston, who leads WTW’s Strategic Sales and Industry Team in GB.
Johnston also joined from Marsh, just under two years also, where he was Sales Leader for their large account (RMP) division for UK and Ireland.
“Anthony’s passion for Transportation and depth of experience will further strengthen our excellent capabilities in this hugely diverse and important sector. We are really excited about getting Anthony on board,” Johnston remarked.
