Active Re announces key changes to global underwriting team

Active Re, a provider of credit-related reinsurance solutions to financial institutions in Latin America, has announced a series of key announcements within its global underwriting team.

handshake-close-up-photoMartin Bages, who holds 25 years’ experience, will coordinate cooperative relationships with clients in charge of facultative business in Latin America and Treaty business globally.

Robert Ali, alongside his responsibilities as Deputy Chief Operating Officer, will now act as a manager of Active Re’s relationships with underwriting agencies, special projects and also with retrocession markets.

After more than 50 years, Tony Eskildsen will be retiring from his operational responsibilities as Chief Underwriter Officer.

Eskildsen will remain a member of the Board of Directors of Active Re, which has also been decided to appoint Ramón Martínez Carrera as a new Director, and who will continue in his current position as Deputy CEO of the company.
