AFL Insurance Brokers (AFL) has appointed Neil Crouch, who joins from a role with Lockton as Head of Broking, to lead its new wholesale property practice as part of the firm’s ambitious two-year expansion plan.
Crouch will head up the firm’s property market expansion, with an initial focus on the North American and Caribbean business as Director Property.
AFL CEO Bob Finch added; “Crouch is a highly experienced broker, and not only ideally suited to leading our growth in the property sector, but also to mentoring our expanding team.
“We place huge value on nurturing and educating the next generation of talent, and are delighted to welcome him on board.”
As well as growth in the Property sector, AFL said its working to expand in energy, financial lines, and surety and trade credit.
AFL Chairman Toby Esser said; “We are growing our wholesale capabilities adding a Property practice is a natural next step for AFL’s business profile.
“Current market conditions make it a compelling case to enter this class, where there is a need for proactive products and services that fully harness the highly skilled underwriting capacity at Lloyd’s.”
AFL said it aims to achieve significant growth over the next two years through organic growth and strategic bolt-on deals and is exploring Insurtech collaboration options through its Incubator division.
