Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE (AGCS) has appointed Lars Vissing as Regional Head of Claims set to succeed Martin Henson who will retire from the position in February 2018 after nearly 20 years with Allianz.
Based in London and Copenhagen, Vissing will lead AGCS’ claims team in the UK, Ireland, Dubai, Russia, the Nordic Region, Australia and New Zealand while continuing in his current responsibilities as Head of Claims for the AGCS Nordic region.
Henson, outgoing Regional Head of Claims, is set to retire after having held leadership roles across both Underwriting and Claims over the course of his 45 year career.
He also led AGCS UK property, liability, and global energy underwriting teams before moving into claims, where he was Head of Claims UK before taking up the broader regional role in 2010.

Vissing joined AGCS as Head of Claims for the Nordic region in 2008; he brings extensive experience from managing high value and complex claims to implementing successful claims strategies across all four Nordic countries.
