Elizabeth Cabrera and Joana Moniz have been appointed to the newly established Allianz Global Commercial Group Center as Head of Underwriting Strategy & Planning and Global Head of Long Tail Lines, respectively.
Cabrera joins the Chief Underwriting Office with effect from November 1st and Moniz from December 1st, with both reporting to Rasmus Nygard, CUO Global Commercial.
With 20 years industry expertise gained primarily in the London Market, Cabrera started her career with QBE, and has held various positions with global carriers including Swiss Re and Talbot Underwriting before joining StarStone in 2019.
She brings experience and a proven track record in portfolio management, business planning and capital modelling.
Moniz, meanwhile, has more than 15 years’ experience in the insurance sector, having joined Allianz Group in 2004 after starting her career in Portugal Telecom in 2000.
She held several positions in the Finance and Underwriting areas prior to her current role, where she is responsible for active portfolio management and driving the UW strategy for AGCS Financial Lines global Commercial business.
