Global insurer Allianz has promoted Margo Young to the role of Chief Compliance Officer, replacing the recently-retired Ann Alexander.
Young has been with Allianz’ compliance team since 2003 and most recently served as deputy to Alexander.
In her role as deputy CCO she supported the transfer of Allianz’s home and personal motor business to LV= as part of the joint venture, and prepared the compliance function of Allianz for the successful integration of LV= General Insurance and the General Insurance division of Legal & General.
Prior to joining Allianz, Young held roles in the life and pensions industry as a financial adviser and mortgage broker.
“I am delighted that Margo has taken up this new appointment. She has a wealth of experience in her field and a proven track record of delivering excellent results for our business,” said
Fernley Dyson, Allianz Chief Financial Officer.
“Her appointment demonstrates the investment we make in our people which allows us to promote from within.
“I would also like to thank Ann for the outstanding contribution she has made to our business over more than 25 years and wish her the very best for the future.”
