AmTrust Financial Services, a global specialty property and casualty insurer, has appointed Ryan Rivard as Senior Underwriter – Excess and Surplus (E&S) Specialty Casualty.
Prior to joining AmTrust, Rivard served as Business Development Manager at Descartes Underwriting, which is described as the largest parametric specialised firm globally. Before that, he spent over two years at WTW as Associate Director, Corporate Risk & Broking.
Rivard has also served as Business Development Manager for almost three years at Allied World, a provider of insurance and reinsurance solutions. He spent over a year at AmWINS Group as Senior Associate Broker and as Client Company Manager at Hartford Steam Boiler before that.
Earlier in the year AmTrust formed a new leadership team for the E&S division through promotions and expanding the roles of a number of executives.
The division is now led by Senior Vice President Erich Bublitz, and Shannon Piotrowski was promoted to Vice President, Brokerage New Business Team.
Additionally, Caseta Paul was promoted to Vice President, Brokerage Renewal, and Jackie Hennig now leads the Unsupported Excess Team
