Amwins gets exceptional delegated authority scores from AM Best

AM Best has assigned its highest Performance Assessment of PA-1 (Exceptional) to a group of seven delegated underwriting authority enterprises (DUAEs) of the Amwins Group, with a stable outlook.

AMWINSLaunched this year, AM Best’s performance assessment for DUAEs looks at underwriting capabilities, governance and internal controls, financial condition, organizational talent and depth and breadth of relationships.

In AM Best’s view, the seven affiliated companies exhibit a number of common traits and are regarded as strategically and financially important to Amwins’ ability to provide specialty insurance liability and property product distribution throughout the United States.

The rating agency said that it considers all points of its assessment to be of exceptional quality across the group of affiliated companies, with continued steady growth forecast.

The group of affiliates granted the exceptional assessment by AM Best consists of: Amwins Access Insurance Services; Amwins Digital Insurance Services; The American Equity Underwriters; Amwins Program Underwriters; Amwins Special Risk Underwriters; Amwins Specialty Casualty Solutions; and Amwins Transportation Underwriters.
