Amwins, a global distributor of specialty insurance products and services, has announced the launch of Amwins Accident & Health Underwriters.
This newly formed operating company acts as the underwriting arm of Amwins’ Group Benefits division and represents the integration of Beacon Risk Strategies, Strategic Underwriting Solutions (SUS) and Amwins Group Benefits Specialty Programs.
According to the announcement, Amwins Accident & Health Underwriters will continue offering expertise in stop-loss underwriting, risk-management consulting, specialty programs management and cost-containment solutions.
In addition, the combined entity will now be covering the full spectrum of stop-loss underwriting for groups of all sizes, including traditional and level-funded stop loss.
