Global insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has appointed JLT’s Dave Barratt as a Senior Consultant within its UK Risk Settlement team.
Barratt joins after spending 13 years with rival broker JLT, where he was an experienced defined benefits settlement consultant within JLT Employee Benefits.
Throughout his career, Barratt has advised numerous trustees and sponsoring employers on settling liabilities with insurance companies, which includes being involved in more than 150 successful transactions.
He has assisted several insurers while they prepared to launch into the bulk annuity marketplace, and has worked on solutions for hybrid schemes and buyout transactions, among others.

He has advised a very wide range of trustees and sponsoring employers on settling liabilities with insurers – especially those in the sub-£100 million bracket.
