Re/insurance broker Aon has named Eric Schwebach Senior Managing Director of its Reinsurance Solutions unit, focusing on the management of major clients as well as the generation of new business.
He reports to Trevor Dorr, Executive Managing Director of Reinsurance Solutions.
Based in Minneapolis, he joins from rival broker Guy Carpenter, where he was most recently a Senior Vice President and member of the company’s North American P&C treaty broking unit.
During his time at at Guy Carpenter, Schwebach served as an account executive and senior broker for several global and nationwide insurance carriers with a focus on property lines of business.
Before that, he was part of Aon Benfield’s Client Development and Production teams and based in the Chicago office. He began his reinsurance career at Benfield in 2006.
Commenting on Schwebach’s appointment, Dorr said: “Eric is a tremendous addition to our team in Minneapolis. We believe that his skill set will benefit our clients and we’re extremely pleased to have Eric join our growing Aon broking team.”
