Leading global professional services firm, Aon plc has appointed Pedro Penalva as Head of Enterprise clients in Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA), effective immediately.
Within this role, Penalva will be part of the Enterprise Client Group (ECG) Leadership Team.
Penalva joined Aon in 2010. In his most recent role at the firm, he was CEO for Iberia, Africa and Israel and EMEA’s multinational client segment leader. Previously, he served as Aon’s CEO for Portugal.
Overall, Penalva brings more than 25 years of industry experience towards his new role. Before he joined Aon, Penalva served as CEO for AIG in Portugal, and was also a member of its European Executive Committee.
Commenting on his new role, Penalva, said: “I am happy to bring in my knowledge of our industry and experience overseeing EMEA multinational accounts. My knowledge of this region will help me in identifying business-driven needs for change in the challenging and evolving market environment to help our clients make better decisions.”
Earlier this week, Aon also appointed Matthew Alcott to the role of UK Chief Commercial Officer.
