Insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has announced the hire of Katey Walker as its new Chief Commercial Officer of Strategy & Technology.
Walker is a market veteran with over twenty years of experience in the property and casualty industry as a consultant and in Executive and Senior Management roles for numerous insurance companies.
Walker is a credentialed actuary with expertise in analytics and business solution implementation. Her experience includes creating innovative solutions by leveraging core technical and interpersonal skills.
Prior to this, Walker was at WTW for almost five years where she served as the Americas P&C Sales and Practice Leader, before which she was the Senior Director of the same company.
Walker has also been the Consulting Actuary at Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. for over 5 years. In this role, her remit included providing actuarial consulting for property and casualty insurance.
Walker has developed actuarial models focused on pricing, product management, underwriting, and the application of predictive analytics during her time at Pinnacle.
Walker has also served as an AVP & Actuary for CNA Insurance. She started her career as the Senior Managing Actuary and an AVP for loss reserving and financial reporting at Liberty Mutual Insurance.
