Independent specialist insurer and reinsurer Apollo Syndicate Management (Apollo) has named Christopher Littlefair as Head of Reserving and Analytics, effective immediately.
This newly created position forms part of the company’s focus on the development of analytical skills and efficiency within the business.
Littlefair brings more than two decades of experience working as a non-life actuary to the role, which includes 11 years with re/insurer MS Amlin, where he was most recently Head of Group Reserving.
He started his actuarial career in 1997 with insurance and reinsurance broker Willis Towers Watson, and has been working as an independent consultant since 2016, advising on both personal and commercial lines.
Apollo’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), David Ibeson, said: “As a specialist re/insurer, innovation and efficiency are critical to Apollo’s success. Our actuarial and risk functions provide our entrepreneurial team with clear, concise and effective data to drive underwriting results.
“We are very pleased to have market-leading talent join our business as we continue executing our plan and I would therefore like to welcome Chris to Apollo.”
