Arch Insurance International, part of Arch Capital Group, has appointed Silvia Martinez as General Counsel, with immediate effect.
Martinez has extensive corporate governance knowledge and expertise overseeing complex corporate and capital market transactions, bringing 10 years of legal experience to the role.
Based in London, she will report to Kirsten Valder, Chief Administrative Officer, Arch Insurance International.
Prior to joining the company, Martinez worked for Aspen Insurance Group where she was Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, and a member of the Group Executive Committee.
Previous roles have included working as an Associate at law firms Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP and Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, as well as serving as a Deputy City Attorney for the Oakland City Attorney’s Office.
Commenting on the appointment, Valder said: “Silvia is a great addition to Arch Insurance International.
