Bermuda-based global insurance and reinsurance company, Arch Capital Group Ltd., has promoted Jerome Halgan to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Arch Global Reinsurance Group, and elevated Michael Schmeiser to CEO of Arch Global Mortgage Group.
In their new roles, both Halgan and Schmeiser continue to report to Maamoun Rajeh, President of Arch Capital.
Halgan joined the re/insurer back in 2009, and has served as President and Chief Underwriting Officer of Arch Reinsurance Group since 2024, and as CEO of Arch Re Bermuda since 2018.

Schmeiser joined the carrier in 2017, and has served as President and CEO of Arch U.S. Mortgage since 2019.

These promotions follow the announcement in early June that Rajeh’s role as President had been expanded to include oversight of its Insurance segment. Arch has confirmed that Arch Insurance North America CEO, Matt Shulman and Arch Insurance International CEO, Hugh Sturgess will continue to report to Rajeh.
