ArgoGlobal Assicurazioni, a member of Argo Group International Holdings, an international underwriter of specialty re/insurance, has appointed Marcello Lombardini as Distribution and Business Development Director.
Lombardini joins from Banca IFIS, where he most recently served as Senior Insurance Consultant.
In his new role, he will report to Giovanni Tucci, Managing Director of ArgoGlobal Assicurazioni.
“Since we became part of the Argo Group in March we have been building a team that will help us fulfil our ambitions to become a market-leading platform in our target business segments across Italy,” said Tucci.
“Marcello’s appointment is fundamental to our strategy, and his breadth of experience and networks across the industry will reinforce our market positioning.”
Lombardini will be expected to grow ArgoGlobal Assicurazioni’s distribution network in order to increase share of the Italian market, while also managing and developing existing broker relationships to better address and serve the needs of clients.
