Ascot, a Bermuda-headquartered re/insurance firm, has announced the appointment of Chris Johnson and Jocelyne Factor as Underwriters in its U.S marine team.
Both Johnson and Factor will be based in the company’s San Francisco office, expanding Ascot’s geographic footprint to the West Coast.
Johnson, Senior Vice President, joins from Navigators where he was Regional VP responsible for the western region.
With over 41 years in the industry he is one of the most experienced ocean marine insurance experts in the U.S.
Factor, Vice President, also joins from Navigators where for 12 years she was involved in all ocean marine product lines and worked on developing regional business.
The team is also joined by its first claims hire, Laura Block, Vice President, who will develop the U.S marine claims function from New York as the team gears up to start writing business, expected to be in Q1 2019.
