Ascot appoints Chiolan as EVP, Management & Professional Liability

Specialty re/insurer Ascot has appointed Brian Chiolan in the newly created position – Executive Vice President, Management & Professional Liability.

ascot-new-logoHe will report directly to Matt Kramer, CEO, US Insurance.

Within this new role, Chiolan will have oversight responsibility for the re/insurer’s US Management Liability, Financial Institutions, Professional Liability & Cyber portfolios with a particular focus on portfolio management, product development, premium expansion and enhanced distribution strategies.

The key leadership position will work closely with Ascot’s Financial Lines underwriting teams and executive management to further Ascot’s strategic goals in the U.S. Insurance market.

With over 30 years of experience within the industry, Chiolan’s career has spanned from roles in  Professional Liability, D&O and Casualty at leading underwriting organizations, including The Hartford as well as Arch Insurance Group.

Most recently he served as Executive Vice President of Arch’s Healthcare division.
