Ascot creates new trade credit division, names heads

Ascot, a Bermuda headquartered insurance and reinsurance firm, has launched a new trade credit insurance division and has appointed Doug Collins and Anthony Barrett to lead it.

Ascot logoAs Executive Vice President (EVP) and Head of Trade Risk, Collins will lead all aspects of Ascot’s U.S trade credit business, utilising his 23 years of industry experience.

He joins Ascot from Atradius, where he most recently served as Head of Risk Services for the Americas. He previously held senior trade credit roles at AIG in North America and Asia and started his career at Trade Indemnity Canada.

Barrett is a 33 year veteran of the trade credit insurance industry and will join Ascot as Senior Vice President (SVP) of the new Trade Credit division.

He has spent the last four years as SVP-Head of Multi Buyer Trade Credit at Zurich North America, prior to which he spent 10 years in various senior roles at Atradius in North America.
