Ascot Group, a global provider of specialty insurance and reinsurance solutions, has announced the appointment of Everest Insurance’s Jonathan Zaffino as Group President.
Zaffino will be based in the company’s New York office and joins the firm after completing his contractual obligations with Everest Re.
In his new role with Ascot, he will report to Andrew Brooks, Group CEO and will have oversight of the organisation’s U.S. and Bermuda platforms. He also takes over executive responsibility for Ethos Specialty.
Zaffino brings extensive industry experience to the role, having served in numerous leadership roles throughout his 26-year career. Prior to Everest, he was a Managing Director at Marsh, before becoming President and CEO of Victor O. Schinnerer, a subsidiary of Marsh.
