Aspen appoints Mauro Signorelli as Head of International Cyber

Aspen Insurance, the insurance arm of Bermudian re/insurer Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited, has announced the appointment of Mauro Signorelli as Head of International Cyber.

AspenMauro previously worked as Senior Underwriter, Technology Liability and Cyber Risk Insurance at Aspen Insurance, having joined the company in February 2017.

Prior to this, he spent five years at XL Catlin leading the development of its European cyber strategy.

He has extensive experience as an underwriter in international and US technology and cyber, having previously worked at AIG and trained at Simmons & Simmons as a lawyer.

“Mauro’s promotion to this role is testament not only to his experience and expertise, but also to the role he has played in developing this important product offering for Aspen Insurance,” said David Cohen, President and Chief Underwriting Officer, Aspen Insurance.

Josh Ladeau, Global Head of Cyber, Aspen Insurance, also commented: “During his time at Aspen Insurance, Mauro has helped mature our cyber product offering and I am delighted that we have professionals of his calibre on the team ready to take on additional responsibilities as we continue to build a compelling cyber proposition for our brokers and clients.”

“As Head of International Cyber, Mauro will help steer the direction of an Aspen Global Cyber team comprised of nearly 20 members,” Ladeau continued.

“In addition to leading our London-based cyber underwriters, Mauro will work hand-in-hand with the SSIMPLE (Secure Systems and Information Management Principles combined with the benefits of our Loss Experience) pre-incident services team to engage eligible clients with our complimentary suite of privacy and network security solutions.”
