Aspen names Tay Boon Chuan as Head of Singapore

Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has appointed Tay Boon Chuan as Head of Singapore, effective June 1st 2023.

Aspen logoBoon joins Aspen after 12 years at Tokio Marine Kiln, where he was part of the Property Treaty Reinsurance team, most recently as Asia Treaty Team Lead.

Collectively, Boon holds almost two and a half decades of experience in the Asian re/insurance industry.

He also has a deep knowledge of the local treaty market, having held positions at Asia Capital Re Group and Swiss Re.

Christian Dunleavy, Group Chief Underwriting Officer at Aspen, commented, “We are thrilled to announce the appointment of industry veteran, Tay Boon Chuan, as Head of Singapore.

“Boon brings a wealth of experience of the Asian treaty market and will be well-placed to spearhead our well-established offering for the region.”

Aspen has also announced that, as of August 1st 2023, Beatrice Morley will be relocating to its London office to be closer to the Reinsurance teams and key casualty markets in London, Europe and the U.S.

Morley will remain Global Head of Casualty and Head of International Reinsurance, which now also includes London as part of the International markets.

On this, Dunleavy said, “We are also delighted to have Beatrice join our executive team in London while maintaining her responsibilities as Global Head of Casualty and Head of International Reinsurance.

“Beatrice’s expanding role is a testament to her significant contribution in helping Aspen develop its successful global reinsurance franchise, and our leading casualty portfolio within this.”
