Aspen Re, the reinsurance segment of Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited, has announced the appointment of Ana Cifuentes as Head of Professional Lines for Aspen Re America, effective December 9, 2020.
As Head of Professional Lines, she will be responsible for building and growing product offerings for Aspen Re America.
Cifuentes most recently served as Deputy Head of Business Development & Innovation, Senior Vice President, at AXIS Re Global, from 2016 to 2018.
In this role she led the implementation of a Customer Relationship Management model and also managed and developed large global Professional Liability accounts.
Prior to this, Cifuentes was Senior Vice President, U.S. Professional Liability Underwriting, at AXIS Re US, in New York from 2009 to 2016.
She also served as Vice President, European Casualty Underwriting, AXIS Re Europe, in Zurich, from 2005 to 2008, and began her career as a European Casualty Underwriter at Gerling Global Re, in Madrid.
Going forward, Cifuentes will be based in New York and will report to Jim Brown, Head of ARA Casualty.
