Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has agreed to release former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its reinsurance segment, Thomas Lillelund, early.
Lillelund stopped acting as CEO of Aspen’s reinsurance segment effective August 7th, 2018, and on August 29th, Aspen Insurance UK Limited and Lillelund executed a letter outlining terms and conditions of his departure.
Aspen has announced that among other things, Aspen UK has agreed to release Lillelund early so that his employment with Aspen UK ends on October 31st, 2018, and has also agreed for him to start work as CEO of AIG Europe S.A with effect November 1st, 2018.
Headquartered in Luxembourg, AIG Europe S.A is a new legal entity for AIG’s business in the European Economic Area and Switzerland that aims to provide continuity for AIG following the UK’s departure from the European Union.
