Asta, the third-party managing agent at Lloyd’s, has announced that Paul Jardine and Bob Stevenson have joined the Board of Asta Managing Agency as Independent Non-Executive Chairman and Independent Non-Executive Director, respectively.
Jardine joins from Asta from AXA XL, before which he served as Director and Chief Actuary at Equitas for five years. He was also previously a Partner at Coopers & Lybrand.
Stevenson is currently Managing Director at RAS Advisory, a consultancy he established after spending more than 12 years at Lloyd’s. Prior to this, he served at Zurich Group for 10 years, and at AIG for 13 years.
“We are excited to have these two highly-experienced professionals join the Asta Managing Agency board,” said Julian Tighe, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asta.
“After more than a decade at the Corporation and another 25 years in the market, Bob has terrific insight into Lloyd’s and the international insurance environment. Paul needs no introduction; as a chief architect both of Equitas and Catlin, he is a leading figure in the Lloyd’s market.”
Tighe continued: “Their knowledge and expertise are unmatched and will be invaluable as Asta continues to build its reputation as the leading managing agent for building and managing businesses at Lloyd’s.”
Asta added that the appointments of both Jardine and Stevenson remain subject to regulatory approval.
