Aviva has announced the appointment of Martin Strobel as an independent non-executive director, effective immediately
Strobel was most recently the senior independent director of RSA Insurance Group and has held a number of senior roles during his career.
Previous positions include group CEO of Baloise-Holding AG, Operating Partner of Advent International and time spent with the strategy consulting firm BCG.
Strobel is currently Vice Chair and Lead Independent Director of Partners Group and Deputy Chair of MSG Life AG.
He will become a member of the Nomination and Governance Committee.
“Martin is an accomplished director in insurance and private equity and we are delighted to welcome him to the Board,” said George Culmer, Chair.
“His business leadership and non-executive experience in the insurance and technology sectors make him a valuable addition to the Aviva Board.”
