James Drew, previously Head of Reinsurance at Aviva, has been appointed as Head of Outwards Reinsurance at Brit, effective July 1st, 2019.
Based in London, Drew will report to Christiern Dart, Brit’s Group Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) and will also work closely with Reinhard Seitz, currently Head of Outwards Reinsurance at Brit, who is retiring from the firm towards the end of 2019.
In his new role, Drew will be responsible for the oversight of outward reinsurance purchasing and also the development and expansion of new and existing reinsurance relationships. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the Lloyd’s and London market to Brit.
Prior to his role with Aviva, Drew held Head of Reinsurance positions at IAG and Torus Insurance (Starstone).
