AXA Insurance Singapore, part of AXA Group, has announced the appointments of Jeremy Ong as Chief Customer & Operations Officer, Julien Callard as Managing Director of Retail, and Mauricio Coarasa as Chief Financial Officer.
As Chief Customer & Operations Officer, Ong will lead several strategic priorities for the organisation focusing on enhancing the customer experience and driving the marketing strategy, digital transformation and innovation efforts for AXA in Singapore.
He was most recently Senior Vice President of the Group CEO Office of NTUC Enterprise, where he helped deliver group-wide transformation, ecosystems development, and strategic partnerships including M&A initiatives.
As Managing Director of Retail, Callard will oversee the company’s retail business and general insurance distribution functions.
His appointment comes as AXA moves to streamline the business and strengthen end-to-end accountability on the customer proposition, by merging its distribution functions and strategic business units.
Coarasa, who will serve as CFO, has been with AXA since 2010 and was most recently CFO for AXA Korea.
Other roles he has held in AXA include Head of Investments and Head of Strategic Planning in Mexico.
They will all join the executive committee alongside Sean Goh, Managing Director, Life; Mr Kevin Leong, Managing Director, Commercial Lines; and Ms Hayley Yap, Chief People Officer, reporting to Jean Drouffe, CEO, AXA Singapore.
Ong and Coarasa’s appointments are effective immediately, while Callard joins on 1 November.
“I am thrilled to welcome Jeremy, Julien and Mauricio into their new positions. Jeremy’s experience and expertise in customer relations, IT and digital transformation, will be an invaluable addition to the business as we scale efforts to further bolster our IT capabilities and improve services for our customers,” said Drouffe.
“As a strong believer in nurturing talents within the company, I am delighted that we have been able to provide Julien and Mauricio with the platform and support to advance their careers in AXA.
“Both of them come with diverse skill sets and backgrounds that will serve to strengthen our executive committee. I look forward to working alongside all of them in furthering the growth of our business in Singapore.”
