Trinity Pong has joined the AXA XL Reinsurance Asia Team in its Shanghai office as a Senior Underwriter.
Pong has spent the previous nine years at Peak Re in Hong Kong.
Most recently, she served as a Vice President for Markets, before which she was a Vice President for Analytics.
Prior to this, Pong held senior roles at Willis Towers Watson. She also currently holds a position as a Council Member of the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong.
AXA XL, which is the property & casualty and specialty risk division of AXA, got the green light from China’s regulator last year to change the license of its XL Insurance (China) Company Limited from an insurance license to reinsurance.
CBIRC permission meant the entity became the first Shanghai-based reinsurance subsidiary and the first foreign-owned reinsurance subsidiary in China.
