AXA XL, the property & casualty and specialty risk division of AXA, has announced the appointment of three new members to its Energy team, further bolstering its offering in the UK & Lloyd’s Business Unit.
Josephine Stroud has been hired to take on the role of Senior Underwriter, Energy Liability, UK & Lloyd’s. Daniella Simmons was appointed Underwriter, Downstream, Power and Renewables, UK & Lloyd’s; and Lulu Knott as Underwriting Assistant, Energy Liability and Downstream Energy, UK & Lloyd’s.

In her new role as Senior Underwriter, Stroud will apply her deep knowledge of the energy market to assist in the development and execution of the portfolio’s underwriting strategy.
She joins AXA XL form Willis Towers Watson, where she most recently held the position of
of Executive Director – Head of Energy Liability.
As Underwriter, Simmons will play a key role in supporting clients through the energy transition, working on both downstream, power and renewables business.
Prior to joining the company, she served at Chubb Global Markets, where she was most recently a Downstream Energy Assistant Underwriter.
Knott is new to the energy insurance industry and as Underwriting Assistant, she will support the Downstream and Liability teams with the delivery of their ambitions for the Business Unit.
