AXA XL, the property & casualty and specialty risk division of AXA, has announced the promotion of Tom Potter to Global Underwriting Manager.
Potter brings to his new role strong knowledge and expertise in underwriting public, products, and employers’ liability and construction insurance, from Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to large companies.
He has been with different AXA entities for 13 years, most recently as Environmental Underwriting Manager and Senior Casualty Underwriter within the company’s UK Retail team.
The news of Potter’s promotion follows a number of new appointments AXA XL has recently made, including Dan Bendavid’s as Global Lead of Innovation and the addition of three new hires to the company’s Energy team.
Bendavid has joined from parent company AXA, where he worked on strategic initiatives such as the group digital strategy for operations and services.
Josephine Stroud has been hired to take on the role of Senior Underwriter, Energy Liability, UK & Lloyd’s. Daniella Simmons was appointed Underwriter, Downstream, Power and Renewables, UK & Lloyd’s; and Lulu Knott as Underwriting Assistant, Energy Liability and Downstream Energy, UK & Lloyd’s.
